The Parks Family – Missionaries to the Captive
Weston and Megan Parks, along with their children Titus and Wren, are a missionary family devoted to reaching and restoring the lives of those impacted by human trafficking. Sent out of Thanks to Calvary Baptist Church and serving with Baptist Missions to Forgotten Peoples, the Parks family are passionate missionaries to the captive—bringing hope, healing, and the message of Jesus Christ to some of the most vulnerable individuals in the world.
Weston Parks was born and raised in North Carolina. He dedicated over a decade of his life to serving as a police officer, where he developed a deep compassion for victims of abuse and exploitation. Through his years in law enforcement, Weston witnessed the devastating effects of human trafficking firsthand. God began to stir his heart, and in a bold step of faith, Weston transitioned from public service to full-time ministry, answering the call to reach the lost in a deeper way.
Megan Parks was born in North Carolina but spent most of her formative years in South Africa, where her parents still serve faithfully in ministry. Her father is the pastor of a local church, and Megan grew up immersed in missions, ministry, and the transforming power of the Gospel. That foundation has shaped her heart for the nations and for the hurting, especially women and children affected by human trafficking.
Together, Weston and Megan have been called as Missionaries to the Captive, focusing on combating human trafficking through a three-part ministry model: Prevention, Rescue, and Rehabilitation.
• Prevention: Through education and training, the Parks family works to raise awareness and equip communities to recognize and respond to the signs of human trafficking before it begins.
• Rescue: With Weston’s background in law enforcement and ministry, the Parks are actively involved in locating and removing victims from dangerous and abusive situations, often partnering with local authorities and organizations to facilitate these rescues.
• Rehabilitation: The heart of their ministry lies here. After rescue, survivors are introduced to the life-changing message of the Gospel. Through discipleship, counseling, and connection to a local church, these individuals are not only given the tools to heal but are welcomed into the family of God. They are offered the only true path to freedom—salvation through Jesus Christ.
The Parks family believes that true restoration is only possible through the redeeming love of Christ. Their mission is not only to set captives free physically but to see them experience the eternal freedom that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus.
Whether training churches, rescuing the vulnerable, or walking with survivors on their journey toward healing, the Parks family serves faithfully—answering God’s call to be a light in the darkest places.
