DE RUSHA, JON & CAROLYN

Jon & Carolyn DeRusha have been married since 1964. They met in Virginia while he was earning money to attend Bible college. After they married, they moved to Chattanooga, TN, so he could attend Tennessee Temple Bible School, from which he graduated in 1970.

They were accepted in 1969 as missionaries through Baptist International Missionaries, Inc. After attending language school in France, they served for 18 months as missionaries among the Saharan peoples of Niger. They also served as missionaries to the people of France and the U.S. Military in off-base independent Baptist churches in Spain, Belgium, and Japan.

Bro. DeRusha served as the Asian Field Administrator for Baptist Missions To Forgotten People for 16 years. He was appointed the USA Field Administrator in November 2020. He has been serving as the BMFP Church Planting Administrator since September 2023.

They reside in Trenton, GA, and travel representing BMFP to Independent Baptist churches throughout the US. They have 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Bro. DeRusha enjoys writing sermons, lessons, and books related to the fulfillment of the Great Commission, while Mrs. DeRusha loves reading.
