FAQs About Africa

Here are some frequently asked questions and other information about Baptist Missions to Forgotten Peoples.

With Africa being the second most populous continent in the world, making up 16% of the world’s population, the opportunities and need for missionaries is staggering!  There are 3000 distinct people groups and over 2000 languages throughout the continent. Africa has 1.5 billion people within 54 countries living in darkness without Christ.

A place where great missionaries have yielded their lives for the cause of Christ is still a place where many souls are hopeless without Christ. You could be the answer to their need! God can use you to take the light of the gospel to the peoples of Africa.

Most countries are open, but several in the North are limited access. Many have experienced terrible wars and civil conflicts.  Yet, divers cultural groups are often waiting for missionaries to come. Others are not so inviting.  A missionary to Africa must be able to adapt and seek the Lord on innovative ways to get to the people God has placed on their heart.

BMFP has partnered with local churches assisting missionaries in reaching Africa for decades. We are well qualified to assist as you prepare for missionary    service. We are a mission family with a desire to help you fulfill God’s call upon your life.

Please consider joining our   family and allowing us to labor alongside you in reaching Africa for Christ!
